Tony Owen worked in the electronic components industry for 40 years where he was heavily involved in systems thinking and quality improvement. He has lectured and presented in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, South Africa (where he met Nelson Mandela), Spain and USA.
He has addressed the Chartered Institute of Public Finance in Belfast and is a visiting lecturer at Birmingham and De Montfort Universities. He often advises council officers privately on quality matters.
Tony is a Petts Wood councillor, the architect of Bromley’s statement of licensing policy and one of the team that moved Bromley staff from national to local conditions.
